Saima Romito-Kalluk is a multimedia artist specializing in landscape paintings in oil, gouache, and acrylic paint. She has illustrated 15 educational flashcards for the Government of Nunavut, as well as worked with Atiigo Media to create promotional posters for community activities. She is now focusing on writing and creating digital concepts to depict dynamic and visually striking stories. She is hoping to successfully create short films and stories based on her life and culture. It is important to her to showcase life in the Arctic in a way that young Inuit today can relate to, and increase awareness in others who have not had the opportunity to learn about a rich culture and people. Saima was born and is currently living in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
