Kath Akuhata-Brown

Kath Akuhata-BrownKath is a New Zealand film-maker of Māori descent. Kath is a graduate of the Binger Film School in Amsterdam (2003). Kath was the 2019 recipient of Te Aupounamu Māori Screen Excellence award from the New Zealand Film Commission and Ngā Aho Whakaari. Kath is renowned for telling stories that are deeply authentic to her Māori cultural heritage.
