Markel Martynov

Alexander Moruo and Markel Martynov are filmmakers behind Tundra animation, an Indigenous studio dedicated to cultural representation and native Sakha language preservation. Since releasing their first award-winning short film, The Bull of Cold, Tundra has gained international recognition. The studio creates a unique northern animation universe that amplifies Indigenous voices and shares authentic stories with global audiences.
