Albert Ward was a highly regarded Mi’kmaq Elder from Eel Ground First Nation and a very dear friend and teacher to the film director Evelyn Pakinewatik’s family. A voice recording featured in the film captures the family’s final conversation with him and marks Pakinewatik’s first time meeting him since infancy.
