Three daring Kiowa boys escape a state boarding school in Oklahoma in 1891 to participate in a ghost dance ceremony in a distant Kiowa encampment. One of the boys has visions of his grandfather and an upcoming ghost dance that promises the return of their ancestors. Based on true events, the film is a story about resistance and survival from forced assimilation.
