The film, based on the oldest known Aboriginal song, documents the Badtjala nation’s first observation of Captain James Cook and his crew on Fraser Island in 1770. The documentary also deals with the legal use of opium in the state of Queensland before 1897 when the law on the protection of Aborigines and the restriction of opium sale came into force.
