Biennáš-Niillásaš Suvi West is a Sámi director and scriptwriter from Outakoski, Utsjoki. In 2022 West was awarded with the State Sward of Public Information and Pro feminist -award from the Left Women in Finland.
At Skábmagovat we get to see her awarded document Eatnameamet – Our silent struggle and the world premiere of the eight short film, Sámi Assimination, compiled from the materials of the documentary. Suvi West will participate in the screenings and it is possible to ask her questions after the screening.
