A Māori priest, who is stranded in freezing cold on the volcano Tongariro, calls his two sisters for help. In search of their brother the sisters’ energy travels through the earth in the form of fire, and the stops along the way create a geothermal wonderland now known as Rotorua. Waihere means the waters that connect us with our ancestors.
