Bih Kezo

Bih Kezo lives in the Paredão village, in Brasnorte (MT). He participated in the audiovisual
workshops in 2019, the first time he handled a professional video camera, and participated
in the formation of the Ijã Mytyli Manoki and Myky Cinema Collective.
He was the director of the short films Ulapa Taka’a: criança sabida (2020), Piny Pyta: a força
de nossa medicina (2021) and Pinjawuli: o veneno me alcançou (2021). These films
participated in national and international festivals and also received awards.
Bih Kezo also works on training new filmmakers through video workshops in the villages,
and as a teacher in the Indigenous Cinema course at the Sesc-SP Training Center.
For him, the audiovisual experience is a very interesting way to tell the stories of his people,
and at the same time, also get to know other peoples.
He is currently working on a new documentary called Pata Manoki, with support from the
Ministry of Culture.
