The Northern Lights Theatre is the most famous and beloved trademark of the festival – an open-air theatre built entirely of snow, usually seating around 200 people.
The moon, stars and any northern lights are included in the ticket price. At their lowest, temperatures at screenings have dropped to -30 ˚C (-22 ˚F). Skábmagovat provides reindeer hides for the snow-built seats, but the unique conditions should be taken into account when choosing what to wear.
