What and how does the media tell about indigenous peoples? What shoud it pay attention to in order to convey correct information and the indigenous perspective? Filmmakers and representatives of the news media gather to a round-table discussion on the theme.
Before the discussion, we will see Rebecca Landsberry-Baker and Joe Peeler’s documentary Bad Press, which describes Muscogee journalist Angel Ellis’s fight for her nation’s freedom of speech, against her corrupted government, in Oklahoma, USA. Reporter Ellis, who attends the festival and is also the Director of Mvskoke Media, will participate in the discussion.
